- N0016420SNB60 - REQUEST FOR INFORMATION (RFI)/SOURCES SOUGHT � MK 13 MOD 0 Diversionary Hand Grenade � FSC � 1330 � NAICS � 332993 Issue Date: 01 JUNE 2020 �� Closing Date: 17 JUNE 2020 The Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC), Crane, IN is issuing this RFI/sources sought announcement as part of market research for the MK 13 MOD 0 Diversionary Hand Grenade and the MK 1 MOD 0 training fuze and training body.� NSWC Crane intends to award a sole-source contract to American Rheinmetall Munitions, Inc.� This effort will be conducted on a sole-source basis in accordance with the statutory authority 10 U.S.C. 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1.� The basis for restricting competition is that all specifications for the end item and piece parts are company proprietary and the Government has not purchased any data rights, duplicate cost to the Government that is not expected to be recovered through competition, and the unacceptable delays in fulfilling the agency requirement through another source. The Government is seeking information from companies mitigating the sole-source basis listed above.� The Government is seeking companies with the capabilities and facilities to produce the MK 13 MOD 0 Diversionary Hand Grenade and MK 1 MOD 0 training fuze and training body. At a minimum, the following information needs to be addressed in response to the RFI: Description of the single bang flash bang device Dimensions, weight Materials for major components Output pressure, light output, delay time Test data Description of the flash bang training fuze Dimensions, weight Materials for major components Output pressure, delay time Test data Description of energetics to include description of lead free materials Description of the flash bang trainer body Dimensions, weight Materials for major components Estimated number of times the device can be used Test data Drawings to include top level item drawings and packaging drawings Budgetary cost estimate Lead time/delivery schedule Availability Responses to the Market Survey shall include the following: Submitter�s name Mailing address (Street address, City, State, Zip code) Business Size and category (large, small, small disadvantaged, etc.) Website address (if applicable) DUNS number Cage code, and/or Tax ID number Government representative(s) Point of Contract (POC) POC Telephone and email address Announcement Number: N0016420SNB60 Responses shall be submitted in the following format: Electronic (Adobe pdf or Microsoft Word) format Not exceed ten pages in length In 11 or 12-point, Times New Roman with normal (condensed) spacing Margins of 1� or greater on all sides Submitted via email Responses shall NOT be submitted using marketing materials.
