Description

The scope of project 630A4-14-450 Replace MRI consists of site preparation for new MRI equipment and construction of a new MRI suite located at the Brooklyn VAMC located at 800 Poly Place, Brooklyn, NY 11209 according to the attached SOW, drawings and specifications. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220 (General Contractors), with a business size standard of $39.5M. Per FAR 36.204, the magnitude of construction is between $1M-$5M. Pursuant to 38 U.S.C.8137(D), this requirement is 100% set aside for Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business. All SDVOSB's are required to be registered at www.vetbiz.gov, as well as www.sam.gov, prior to the submission of the offer and at the time of award. All SDVOSB statuses will be verified. A site visit is scheduled for June 5, 2020 at 10AM EST. Prospective bidders are to meet at Engineering at the Brooklyn VAMC. This will be the only site visit forthis project, and no other visits will be scheduled. All social distancing protocol must be followed including the use of masks. ALL MAILED BIDS MUST BE RECEIVED BY 9:00AM EST ON 7/1/2020, AND MAILED TO THE ADDRESS IN BLOCK 8 OF THIS FORM. The PUBLIC BID OPENING will be held on 7/1/2020 at 10:00 AM EST in the Engineering Conference Room at the New York Harbor Healthcare System Brooklyn Campus, ENGINEERING, Brooklyn, NY 11209. INSTRUCTIONS FOR A VIRTUAL BID OPENING WILL BE PUBLISHED IN AN AMENDMENT IF NEEDED. NO LATE BIDS WILL BE ACCEPTED. The Period of Performance is 250 calendar days from the date of the notice to proceed All Requests for Information (RFI's), must be sent in writing and e-mailed to Emily.Lindsey2@va.gov by 1:00PM EST on 6/19/2020. No bid extensions will be granted due to lateRFI submissions. Offerors must submit their annual Vets-100 Report. FAR Part 36.209 Construction contracts with architect-engineer firms. No contract for the construction of a project shall be awarded to the firm that designed the project or its subsidiaries or affiliates.
