- This combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format at FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice.� This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number W913E520Q0021 is being issued as a request for quotation (RFQ).� This requirement is available for full and open competition. The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 334519 � Other Measuring and Controlling Device Manufacturing. The U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Cold Regions Research and Engineering Laboratory (CRREL) has a requirement for a transmission impedance tube with the following specifications: ���� The impedance tube systems must be in conformance with American Society of Testing Materials (ASTM) International standard ASTM E2611. The impedance tube system must have at least two tube systems with internal diameters of 30 � 1 mm and 100 � 1 mm. The operating frequency range must cover a span of 100-6000 Hz. The impedance tube systems must be at least 1100 mm in length. The impedance tube systems must have microphone ports spaced at least 50 mm apart for the 100 � 1 mm diameter system, and 10 mm apart for the 30 � 1 mm diameter system. The impedance tube systems must have at least four microphone ports. Microphone Requirements: The microphones must be pressure field microphones. The microphones must be 1/4 in. diameter in size. The microphones must have a frequency range that spans 100-6000 Hz. The microphones must be externally polarized. The microphones must be rear vented. � Please reference the attached RFQ for applicable provisions and clauses.� The Government intends to award a firm fixed-price contract resulting from this solicitation to the lowest price technically acceptable (LPTA) responsible quote.� The following factors will be used to evaluate offers: ability to meet the required technical specifications and price.
