Description

This�RFI is issued as a means of technical discovery and information gathering. This RFI is for planning purposes only and should not be construed as a solicitation, nor should it be construed as an obligation on the part of the Agency to make any purchases of goods or services. In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this notice are not oers and cannot be accepted by the U.S. Government to form a binding contract. Responders are solely responsible for all expenses associated with responding to this RFI. This RFI also should not be construed as a means to pre-quality vendors. The Agency may utilize the results of this RFI in draing a competitive solicitation (RFP) for the wired campus network access switches to be utilized for future operations. Any future contract that may be awarded must comply with The Agency procurement requirements. In an effort to continue as the leading source of statistical data providers and meet the mission of the next Census and upcoming surveys the United States Census Bureau (USCB) must adapt to the changing environment effecting survey methods and data. The Enterprise Data Lake (EDL) is an effort to transform Census from a survey-centric model to a twenty-first-century, data-centric model. The EDL seeks to streamline survey collection, data processing and dissemination methods while ensuring confidentiality is maintained along with the Census reputation. The USCB is seeking information on metadata management and data management capabilities via a tool to organize metadata and data in the EDL environment. The goal is to automate the ingestion and aid in curation of easily searchable data and metadata.� SEE ATTACHMENTS FOR DETAILS
