- INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 5, intends to enter into a sole source procurement for a (Howard HICARE E MED 6 TIER CARTS) for the Martinsburg VA Medical Center (581), 510 Butler Ave, Martinsburg, West Virginia 25404. In accordance with 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(5), 38 U.S.C. 8127(b), as implemented by FAR 6.302-5 (Authorized or Required by Statute), and under the authority of VAAR 819.7007, Sole Source Awards to a Service Disabled Verified Veteran-Owned Small Business, the Department of Veterans Affairs intends to award a sole source, firm-fixed price purchase order to Company Name: Minburn Technology Address: 101113 Minburn Ave, Great Falls, VA 22066 Phone: (703)-626-0284 The associated North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is (541519) and the Business Size Standard is (150) employees. It is the Government s belief that the Howard HICARE E 6 Tier Carts are currently used by the facility. It meets the requirements in the statement of work. Competition of this requirement would cause great delay and additional costs to the government in the form of designing, installing and implementing a new cart system, testing, and staff training. Patient care would be negatively impacted at the Martinsburg VAMC. The estimated base value of this acquisition is approximately ($43K). The estimated award date is on or before 6/15/2020 This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals or quotes. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. Interested persons may identify their interests and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 1300 PM Eastern Time (6/10/2020). Any response to this notice must show clear and convincing evidence that competition would be advantageous to the Government. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to meet the subject requirement. This information shall be provided at no cost or obligation to the Government.
