Description

NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE The U.S. Government currently intends to award a supply contract to provide reagents for a Beckman Coulter MicroScan Walk Away WA40 Plus on an SOLE SOURCE basis at Bayne-Jones Community Hospital (BJAHC) at Fort Polk, LA. North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code �325413, Analytical Laboratory Instrument Manufacturing; SBA Small Business Size Standard: 1250 employees; the PSC is 6550 - In vitro diagnostic substances, reagents, test kits and sets. The proposed contract number will be awarded on a sole source Firm-Fixed Price (FFP) action to: Beckman Coulter, Inc. 250 S KRAEMER BLVD BREA CA 92821-6232 Description of Services or Supplies: Basic Service Contract for the MicroScan Walk Away System and Auto-Scan 4 Reader and to provide reagents and supplies based on an annual Panel Commitment.� This sole source requirement is issued under the statutory authority of FAR 13.106-1(b)(1): For purchases not exceeding the simplified acquisition threshold (SAT), only one source reasonably available, urgency, exclusive licensing agreements, brand name, or industrial mobilization. Beckman Coulter, Inc., owns the MicroScan Walk Away System and Auto-Scan 4 Reader, and is the only vendor authorized to maintain, provide supplies and reagents for their equipment.� This notice does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ)/Invitation for Bid (IFB)/Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ, IFB or RFP in the future.� The U.S. Government will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in response to this notice.� The notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. This sole source synopsis is for informational purposes only.
