Description
In accordance with FAR 13.106-1(b) , this Notice of Intent is to inform all parties the Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 19 located at 6162 South Willow Drive Suite 300, Greenwood Village, CO 80111 intends to award a sole source procurement for the following requirement to the large business manufacturer, Hitachi Healthcare Americas Corporation., located at 1959 Summit Commerce Park, Twinsburg , Ohio 44987: ITEM # DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES QTY UNIT OF ISSUE 0001 Aloka Probe, IOUS, Linear, Robotic, 12-2Mhz, L43K 1 EA 0002 The L43K transducer consists of a linear array type, has a frequency range of 12-2 MHz and a scan width of 26MM. This transducer is ideal for liver and kidney scanning during surgery, while providing exceptional near and far field resolution. The L43K transducer does have use compound wave generation technology, and has a multi-layered crystal, which minimizes signal attenuation. The smaller profile provides greater control and access during robot-assisted procedures than any other transducer of this type. The L43K transducer also provides instant feedback on tumor margin delineation. The L43K allows for full robotic wrist articulation during a nephrectomy, which allows for real time imaging even at complex angles and difficult to reach areas to precisely define the depth and extent of tumor margins. Per Hitachi Healthcare, they have no authorized distributors. The associated North America Classification Systems (NAICS) Code is 339112 and the Business Size Standard is 1000 employees. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to this requirement no later than 4:00 PM Eastern Standard Time, Thursday, May 28th, 2020. Information received in response to this notice must clearly demonstrate the capability of meeting the Government s need as stated above. Include any relevant information (specifications, cut sheets, brochures, capability statement, etc.) confirming the ability to supply the products and/or any services outlined in this notice. Responses to this notice are to be sent to chris.hollingsworth@va.gov. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government. The Government is not responsible for any potential costs incurred from interested parties desiring to respond to this notice.
