Description

The United States Army Contracting Command - New Jersey (ACC-NJ) Picatinny Arsenal, New Jersey 07806-5000 has a proposed a brand name acquisition to provide a procure a quantity of four (4) bidirectional (1x4 or 4x1) high speed optical switches with a central wavelength of 1550nm to allow for the switching of optical signals in a precise, controllable, and repeatable manner. The Government intends to solicit, negotiate, and award a firm fixed price contract to IPG Photonics Corporation, Inc. 15 Presidential Way, Woburn, MA 01801.� The period of performance shall be sixty (60) days from award. The proposed sole source (brand name) acquisition will utilize the authority under Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Items, 41 U.S.C. 190 as implemented by FAR Subpart 13.106-1(b)(1). This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement which shall be considered by the Government. The NAICS code for this effort is 334516 with a Small Business Size Standard of 1,000. All questions/responses must be received NO LATER THAN June 15, 2020.
