Description
MOTCO Barge Pier and Small Craft Berthing Facility The Government anticipates issuing a Request for Proposal with the intent of awarding a Firm-Fixed Price construction contract for the MOTCO Barge Pier and Small Craft Berthing Facility.� Project Description: This MOTCO Marina Project involves repairing the Barge Pier and possibly the Small Craft Berthing Facility.� The Barge Pier work involves replacing broken, damaged, missing, and loose piles, as well as repairing splits in select piles.� The contractor will also need to replace timber curbs and select cross bracings, install structural jackets on selected piles and install pile wraps on all bearing piles.� Lastly for the Barge Pier, the contractor will need to remove and replace failing firewall boards and repair select utilities integral to the pier.� The Small Craft Berthing Facility work will include the removal of the timber fender (at the gangway platform), construction support for munitions and explosives of concern (MEC), fabrication and installation of offshore piles, wave attenuator and finger dock floats.� Additionally, the construction of cast-in-place concrete gangway platform on piles, fabrication and installation of an aluminum gangway between the platform and the floating dock, installation of utility pedestals, and installation of power, communications, water and sewer lines. In accordance with FAR 36.204(g) the estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This prospective contract action will be conducted using NAICS Code is 237990 - Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a size standard of $39.5M.� Product Service Code is Y1ED � construction of Ship construction and Repair Facilities.� The solicitation will proceed as a total small business set-aside and is estimated to be issued on or about June 11, 2020 with proposals due tentatively on August 4, 2020.�� The RFP will be issued on the Government Point of Entry known as beta.sam.gov and will establish a firm proposal due date/time. If applicable, the site visit date, time and location will be identified in the solicitation. BE ADVISED THAT THIS PROJECT MAY BE DELAYED, CANCELLED OR REVISED AT ANY TIME DURING THE PRE-SOLICITATION, SOLICITATION, SELECTION, EVALUATION, NEGOTIATION AND/OR FINAL AWARD PROCESS. The only INTERESTED VENDORS LISTS (plan-holder's/bidder's list) is available via beta.SAM.gov.� Contractors are responsible for self-identifying as interested vendors and viewing other interested vendors.� Contractors should check beta.sam.gov frequently for any changes to the interested vendors list and notice.
