- Description
- The U.S. Army Contracting Command � New Jersey, on behalf of U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command � Armaments Center (CCDC AC), is conducting market research to determine the capability of contractors to disassemble, rig, transport, conduct site preparations, emplace, and reassemble a unique prototype large armament system.� The system itself weighs in excess of 163,000 lbs., with dimensions roughly 71 feet long, 14 feet high, and 14 feet wide.� The Government is requesting this equipment to be transported as is, but should transport require disassembly the contractor will be required to disassemble the system to prepare for shipment.� The total transportation distance is estimated to be about 500 miles and will require security escorts.� The armament system may necessitate strategic disassembly to accommodate road limitations during transport.� The contractor will be required to prepare the site location, which includes anchoring to prepared surfaces (such as concrete), prior to arrival of the system.� Once the system arrives at the prepared site location, the contractor will be required to setup/reassemble the major components that were disassembled prior to transport into the proper orientation and direction based upon guidance provided by CCDC AC. While the preponderance of the effort remains solely in the arena of NAIC 541330, this requirement has the potential for contracting in the following areas: Rigging/Transport NAICS Code � 238290 � Rigging Large Scale Equipment PSC Code � N099 Installation of Equipment - Miscellaneous Security Escorts NAICS Code � 561612 - Security Guards and Patrol Services PSC Code S206 � Security and Protection�Security Services The responses to this notice shall include any information concerning your company�s intent to subcontract for any of this requirement, and which portions of the requirement they pertain to. IT IS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF POTENTIAL OFFERORS TO MONITOR THE GPE FOR ADDITIONAL INFORMATION PERTAINING TO THIS REQUIREMENT.� BACKGROUND: The applicable NAICS codes for this requirement is: 541330 (Engineering Services) with a Small Business Size Standard (in millions of dollars) of $16.5 million.� Businesses of all sizes are encouraged to respond; however, each respondent must clearly identify their business size in their capabilities statement. Responses shall include the NAICS Code(s) for any potential subcontractors, and identify if they are a small business for that NAICS code. The size standards for the potential subcontracting NAICS codes detailed above are as follows: NAICS 238290 � $16.5 million NAICS 561612 - $22.0 million SUBMISSION DETAILS: Each potential source is requested to provide the contract number(s), dollar value(s) and brief description of work previously or currently being performed, which specifically demonstrates the contractor's ability to successfully satisfy the requirements detailed above. Firms shall also provide point of contact information, where available, for the efforts cited above.�All data should be sent at no cost to the US Government by 30 June 2020 to the US Army CCDC AC.
