49100420Q0092 - Notice of Intent to Sole Source: LogMeIn Rescue Concurrent The National Science Foundation (NSF) intends to negotiate a sole source purchase order with the LogMeIn USA, Inc for LogMeIn Rescue Upgrade to Mobile and Rescue Concurrent for 12-month from award date. As part of the NSF Service Desk's ability to support 100% telework requirements, we are procuring a software tool, LogMeIn Rescue Concurrent (hereby called LMI), to assist with repairing and managing National Science Foundation computer systems. This new software tool enables an ITHCS Service Desk technician to assist a remote NSF customer's government computer with adding/removing software, updating system security patches, and provides assistance with Office products. This product enables a safe tactical dispersion or social distancing between the customer and Service Desk technicians. Furthermore, with the 100% telework requirement the Service Desk currently has NO tool to support the customers in the event of computer malfunctions. Several products and vendors were reviewed and evaluated (including Splashtop, and Dameware), and LMI was found to be the best fit, offers the best features and passed Security reviews, and provides the government COVID-19 best pricing. Additionally, the program interfaces with the current NSF Customer Relations Management tool, ServiceNow.
