Description
REQUEST FOR INFORMATION This is a Special Notice that is a request for�Information (RFI) addressing the capability to provide an Air Ambulance Service in Alaska. This Special Notice is issued solely for information and planning purposes. It does not constitute a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP) or a promise to issue an RFQ or RFP in the future. This�RFI does not commit the Government to contract for any supply or service whatsoever. The information provided in the�RFI is subject to change and is not binding on the Government. Responders are advised that FEMA will not pay for any information or administrative costs incurred in responding to the Request for Information. Project Title:� Alaska COVID Aeromedical Transportation � Background:� In support of the State of Alaska, FEMA is in the planning stage to support contingency medical evacuation requirements.� The COVID pandemic combined with the Alaskan fishing season occurring June-August brings in approximately 60K-80K individuals into the State of Alaska to support the fishing industry.� The influx of a large transient workforce could potentially stress on the medical system especially in the rural areas. � Scope:� In support of a State of Alaska request, as directed by and in coordination with FEMA, the vendor will provide rotary and fixed wing air transportation support for medical evacuation to support COVID-19 operations through 1 Sep 2020.� Transport is anticipated to be one or two patients at a time.� The vendor will transport patients from various rural communities in AK to Anchorage. � Potential pick up locations: Unalaska Cold Bay Kodiak Egegik King Salmon Dillingham Togiak Cordova Juneau Sitka Ketchikan � �Request for information: Where is your aircraft normally based? From receipt of task order what is the estimated length of time to reposition aircraft and crew to Anchorage if not already located in Alaska? What is an estimated cost from home station to pick up in King Salmon, to drop off in Anchorage and return to home station. What would be a daily standby charge should the aircraft and crew have to wait in Anchorage on a daily basis? Does your organization offer capabilities for stand-by in Alaska at specified locations, for durations of up to two weeks or more? What is an estimated cost for Standby on a weekly basis? �
