- This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) subpart 12.6, �Streamlined Procedures for Evaluation and Solicitation for Commercial Items,� as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being requested, and a written solicitation document will not be issued. The solicitation is being issued using simplified acquisition procedures under the authority of FAR 13.5 Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2020-06, Effective 05-06-2020. The associated North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) code for this procurement is 511210, Software Publishing, with a small business size standard of $38.5 million. This acquisition is full and open to all business sizes. Responses are due by 10:00 a.m., May 31, 2020. Questions may be submitted by email to the Contract Specialist (Lisa.Schaupp@nih.gov) through May 27, 2020 by 9:00 a.m. E.T. Answers will be posted by 5:00 p.m. E.T. May 27, 2020. The National Institute of Health, Office of Purchasing and Contracts, is seeking to acquire an automated high density pharmacy storage and IV workflow solution that interfaces with the Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and pharmacy inventory management systems in order to increase safety and efficiency. The dispensing software will also communicate with the pharmacy information system to allow first-dose and cart-fill/ADC dispensing requests to be received and then processed and filled by technicians. The solution will provide real time tracking of current inventory and medications to order. Please see the Combined Synopsis/Solicitation attached for details of the requirement.
