- This is a Special Notice for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; proposals are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The U.S. Army Combat Capabilities Development Command (CCDC) Aviation & Missile Center�s Technology Development Directorate-Aviation (TTD-A) through The U.S. Army Contracting Command � Redstone intends to award a firm-fixed-price contract. The contract document and incorporated clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2020-06. Pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies will satisfy agency requirements. The intended source is Carnegie Mellon University doing business as Software Engineering Institute (CMU SEI), 4500 5th Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15213, CAGE Code 0LCF8. The solicitation number is W911W6-20-R-0010 and is issued as a request for quotations. The proposed contract action, a commercial item purchase in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, is for Architecture Analysis and Design Language (AADL) e-Learning for training of forty (40) on-line government students.� The AADL e-learning will address: (a) the value of model-based engineering (MBE) for embedded system development in your application domain; (b) fundamental MBE concepts, specifically key engineering principles and methods; (c) alternative choices for representation and modeling; (d) core elements of the AADL modeling language; (e) modeling and analysis of embedded software systems using MBE, the AADL, and Open Source AADL Tool Environment (OSATE) toolkit; (f) quantitative validation of quality attributes through analysis of� system architectures; and (g) concepts, key principles, methods, and value of Architecture-Centric Virtual Integration Practices (ACVIP) for system development. CMU SEI is the creator, architect and maintainer of AADL. The training shall be effective for 12 months from date of enrollment. Delivery, Inspection, Acceptance and F.O.B.
