Description
The Federal Bureau of Prisons (BOP) herein issues solicitation 15B51520B00000001 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled �Replace Fire Sprinkler and Alarm Systems � FCI Texarkana, Texas.� FCI Texarkana is a federal correctional institution located at 4001 Leopard Drive, Texarkana, Texas 75501.� The anticipated performance period for the project will be 600 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work.� The purpose of the project is as follows: 1) Design, furnish, and install all necessary equipment to provide new complete automatic wet-pipe fire sprinkler systems, and modify/add to existing sprinkler systems; 2) Design, furnish, and install all necessary equipment to provide new complete automatic dry-pipe fire sprinkler systems throughout the cold storage and cooler spaces located in the Food Service area, the Garage building, the VT Shop building, and the VT Classroom; 3) Furnish all labor, materials, permits, and approvals from governing agencies, tools and equipment necessary for and incidental to the purchase, installation, and testing of the specified fire alarm systems. The fire alarm system shall be brand name or equal to the Honeywell NFS-320.� The fire alarm system shall be non-proprietary and shall have the ability to be repaired, replaced, programmed, inspected and/or tested by Federal Bureau of Prisons Technicians. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of this project lies between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000.� (NOTE: This range is one of eight available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range.� It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.) The solicitation will be distributed solely through the website at https://beta.sam.gov.� Hard copies of the solicitation will not be made available.� The website provides download instructions. All future information about this solicitation, including any amendments, will also be distributed solely through this website.� Interested parties are responsible for continuously monitoring this website to ensure that they have the most recent information about this proposed contract action.
