- Sources Sought/Request for Information Repair Hoist and Fall Protection at Building 662 Solicitation:�������� W50S8X-20-R-7011 Description:������� Repair Hoist and Fall Protection at Building 662 Closing Date:���� 31 May 2020 NAICS Code:���� 333923, Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing FSC Code:�������� 3950, Winches, Hoists, Cranes, and Derricks 129TH RESCUE WING, CALIFORNIA AIR NATIONAL GUARD MOFFETT AIR NATIONAL GUARD BASE MOUNTAIN VIEW, CALIFORNIA Sources Sought This Sources Sought Posting (Posting) is being issued in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 10, Market Research.� Its sole purpose is to provide information for planning and market research purposes only and shall not be construed as either a solicitation or obligation on the part of the 129th Rescue Wing (129 RQW).� The purpose of this Posting is to help the 129 RQW understand industry best practices, technical solutions, and sources capable of meeting the requirements detailed by this solicitation.� The 129 RQW welcomes responses from all interested parties; however, no decision or award of contract will be made on the basis of responses from industry.� The 129 RQW will not pay for the preparation of, nor the subsequent use of, information submitted in response to this Posting.� Respondents will not be notified of the outcome of the 129 RQW�s review of the information received.� Additionally, the 129 RQW does not intend to hold discussions concerning this Posting with any interested parties, but reserves the right to contact vendors if additional information is required for clarifications as it pertains to the Posting. The 129 RQW intends to contract for the removal and replacement of a 3-ton capacity bridge crane, a 1.5-ton capacity monorail crane, and two (2) fall arrest cable systems installed at the Composite Aircraft Maintenance Facility (Building 662) at Moffett ANGB, California.� Installed replacement equipment will be comprised of two (2) 5-ton bridge cranes with two (2) fall arrest bridges mounted on the same rails as the cranes.� To that end, the 129 RQW seeks to verify that its requirement is commercially available, gather any questions or comments about the requirement, and to gather information about sources able to meet those requirements. The NAICS code for this requirement is 333923, Overhead Traveling Crane, Hoist, and Monorail System Manufacturing.� The SBA associated small business size standard for this industry is 1,250 employees. Instructions to Vendors All interested vendors are encouraged to submit a response clearly demonstrating their capability, not to exceed five (5) pages, stating their concern�s positive intention to submit a proposal as a prime contractor.� Proposals are not being requested at this time.� In accordance with FAR 15.201(e), responses to this Posting cannot be considered as offers and cannot be accepted by the Government to form a contract.� No formal solicitation exists at this time and no set-aside decision has been made.� Responses to this Posting should include the following information: A positive statement of intent to submit a proposal as a prime contractor; A completed and signed Sources Sought Information Request (attached); A listing of projects completed during the past five (5) years for both Government and private industry.� The list should provide the type of project, dollar value, contract number, location, and point of contact.� Also, please indicate whether the firm was a prime or subcontractor�if the firm was a subcontractor, please provide a point of contact with the prime contractor; A concise capabilities statement that includes a brief outline of resources, subcontractors, and key personnel that would be used to accomplish the requirement; and A demonstration of the firm�s socioeconomic status (i.e., SB, 8(a), HUBZone, EDWOSB, WOSB, SDVOSB, etc.) and size. In the event that adequate small business firms are not available for adequate competition for this project, it may be advertised as an unrestricted solicitation.
