Description
On or about 28�February 2020, the Government intends to issue a solicitation for the Advanced Contract Initiative (ACI) for Emergency Temporary Roof Repairs � CONUS (Small Business).� The solicitation will close on or about 30�March 2020.�� The solicitation is restricted to�small business participation only. �All contractors must be registered and have an active and verified account in the System for Award Management (SAM) in order to receive a contract from any DoD activity.� Contractors may access the internet site at https://www.sam.gov/ to register and/or obtain information about the SAM program.� Contractors must ensure that the applicable NAICS code is included in their proposal prior to submission of offer. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Advanced Contract Initiative (ACI) for Emergency Temporary Roof Repairs is the federal government�s initial mechanism for responding to emergency roof repairs caused by hurricanes, tropical storms, and other natural disasters. The solicitation will be for award of four (4) $45,000,000.00 Single Award Task Order Contracts (SATOCs) for the installation of emergency temporary roofing in the Continental United States (CONUS).� States covered by these contracts will include: Alabama, Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, Mississippi, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.� These states will be divided into two (2) regions.� Each contractor awarded a SATOC under this solicitation will be designated a primary and alternate region to support but will have the capability to support the secondary region, if needed.� The two regions are: Region 1 � Florida to Maine: Connecticut, Delaware, District of Columbia, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina and Virginia.� Region 2 � Texas to Alabama: Alabama, Louisiana, Mississippi and Texas. The SATOCs awarded under this solicitation will be as follows: one (1) Small Business; one (1) Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB); one (1) Historically Underutilized Business Zone (HUBZone) Small Business; and one (1) Woman Owned Small Business (WOSB). These will be indefinite delivery type contracts awarded for a 7-year duration which includes a 5-year base period and a 2-year option period.
