- Description
- The United States Forest Service (USFS), George Washington and Jefferson Supervisor's Office, located at 5162 Valleypointe Pkwy, Roanoke, VA 24019 is posting the following solicitation for construction.� The construction will take place�on the Glenwood Pedlar Ranger District, located in Natural Bridge, Virginia. Construction involves the demolition, removal, and rebuilding of the Jordan Bridge on Forest Service Road (FSR) 76. The Jordan Road bridge is located at milepost 0.3 at the crossing with the Pedlar River and adjacent to the Oronoco Campground (Latitude 37.7498333�N, -79.26455�W). This solicitation is 100% set-a-side for small business. The NAICS code for this requirement is 237310 (sizestandard $36.5 million). The USFS anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price award contract. All responsible, qualified small businesses may submit an offer which will be considered by the Forest Service. All Offerors shall be registered at the System for Award Management (www.beta.sam.gov) prior to submitting a proposal. The solicitation is made avaialble today, May 1, 2020.��The contract performance period is�210 days. This solicitation will be distributed solely through the General Services Administration's FederalBusiness Opportunities web site at www.fbo.gov, which is now called beta.sam.gov (https://beta.sam.gov/search). This site provides downloading instructions. Hard copies of the solicitation will not be distributed. Responses will not be provided to telephone messages. All future information regarding this acquisition, including amendments, will be distributed through this site. Contractors shall furnish all labor, supervision, equipment, materials, transportation, supplies (unless specified elsewhere as Government-furnished), and incidentals required to accomplish specified work in compliance with the terms, specifications, and provisions of the contract. The successful contractor will need to supply all insurance certificates, bonding and adhere to all Davis-Bacon Wage Rates associated with solicitation.� Interested parties are responsible for monitoring this site to ensure they have the most up-to-date information about this solicitation. Each offeror is required to maintain registration in the System for Awards Management at www.sam.gov and complete the Offeror Representations and Certifications. Questions pertaining to this solicitation shall be submitted in writing to Kelvin Jackson at kelvin.jackson1@usda.gov. A Pre-bid site vist is schedule for May 11, 2020, beginning at 09:30 a.m. EST.� Refer to the solicitation details as there may be more than one site visit scheduled for this day due to the current COVID-19 restrictions.� Site visits shall be no more than 90 minutes. Pursuant to Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 36.204, the estimated magnitude of the project lies between $500,000 to $1,000,000 (NOTE: This range is one of 8 available ranges from FAR 36.204 and is not meant to imply that the project has necessarily been estimated/budgeted to the maximum of the selected range. It merely conveys that the estimate/budget lies somewhere within that range.)
