- Description
- U.S. DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE, AGRICULTURE RESEARCH SERVICE, IN BELTSVILLE, MD. -Has the following requirement - Comparative analysis of Metalites from different fast neutron mutants - Intending to use - Metabolon, Inc.s technology, which is currently being used to influence health and disease insight, drug discovery and development processes by accurately measuring the spectrum of biochemical changes and mapping these changes to metabolic pathways. Metabolon, Inc. technology can identify safer compounds for development, shorten the time for drugs to get to market, identify novel biomarkers for earlier disease detection, and define mechanisms around drug action and disease states. Covered classes include Amino Acids, Carbohydrates, Lipids, Nucleotides, Microbiota metabolism, Energy, Cofactors & Vitamins, Xenobiotics, and Novel Metabolites. Most Importantly, Metabolon, Incs Complex Lipid Panel is the only lipidomics method able to provide absolute quantitation, molecular species concentration and complete fatty acid composition of each covered lipid class. The work to be performed will include the following: receipt of biological specimens and logging of customer supplied sample information into a laboratory information management system, sample preparation, extraction of metabolites, ultra high performance liquid chromatography/tandem high resolution/accurate mass spectrometry in both positive and negative ion modes using a combination reverse phase and HILIC chromatography methods, automated peak detection, determination of relative ions concentrations, and matching of ion features to compound identities using Metabolon's patented platform system software and 4,000+ named compound reference library, project QA/QC and statistical analysis and biological interpretation via a written report and pathway figures prepared by a Metabolon Project Leader who will be assigned for your project. access to MetaboLync, allowing Metabolon clients to access, share, visualize and analyze their metabolomics study results. The deliverable for this mView project will be a data set containing the relative concentration profile of all small-molecule entities (named chemical structure), which can include endogenous compounds, xenobiotics, and their metabolites. An alternative option would be to include the complex lipid panel for full discovery. This full discovery metabolomics option (global metabolomics + complex lipid panel) also includes fully quantitative measurement of over 1,100 complex lipid species. The final curated data set can be provided in a number of formats, including Excel. 32 sample, 2 matrix, global metabolomics project Vendors who believe they can provide the above, are invited to submit substantiating documentation via email by no later than May 21, 2020 - via email to the following point of contact: John.Wilkinson@usda.gov. No late quotes or vendor questions will be accepted. Oral Communications are not acceptable in response to this requirement. Anticipated award date Is May 22, 2020. Important Note: At the time of the above anticipated award date, the low quote vendor that can meet all of the above requirement, must already - have their companies Dun and Bradstreet Number - -mandatorlly - already be registered by April 29, 2020 - as both - current and active at the web site: www.sam.gov at phone no. 1-866-606-8220.
