- Description
- ARMY CONTRACTING COMMAND DETROIT ARSENAL INWARREN, MI IS REQUESTING A MARKETRESEARCH QUESTIONNAIREREQUESTING INFORMATION IN SUPPORT OF THEWATER BISON SYSTEMS. No contract will be awarded from this announcement. This is not a Request for Proposal (RFP). Also, it is not a request seeking contractors interested in being placed on a solicitation mailing list. Response to this questionnaire is voluntary and no reimbursement will be made for any costs associated with providing information in response to this Market Survey and any follow-on information requests. Data submitted in response to this Water Bison Systems Market Survey will not be returned. No solicitation document exists at this time, and calls requesting a solicitation will not be answered. The objective of this market research is to determine if existing commercial or non-developmental items are available and suitable to fulfill the U.S. Armys requirement for Unit Level Water Trailer, known as the Water Bison and Water Bison Lite. There is no risk to you for participating in this survey. This is an important opportunity for you to influence the solicitation provisions and contract clauses, our budget requests, and the full range of other elements supporting the acquisition strategy for this program. As currently envisioned, the Water Bison is a replacement for the legacy 400 gallon Water Buffalo. A second variant, the Water Bison Lite, is also required. The Water Bison consists of a 500 to 600 gallon baffled capacity tank. The Bison Lite consists of a 250 to 300 gallon baffled capacity tank. Both the Water Bison and Water Bison Lite systems are trailer mounted and include integrated freeze prevention. They provide the modular force an efficient method of transporting a full day of supply (DOS) for various sized U.S. Army Units. The Water Bison and Water Bison Lite will receive, distribute, store, and dispense potable water by means of gravity flow. Units at all echelons will use the Water Bison and Water Bison Lite. The total Army Acquisition Objective (AAO) for the Bison Program is 9,424 units with 20% of this total belonging to Bison Lite. Email submissions cannot exceed ten megabytes per message. If your response exceeds ten megabytes, please break it into two or more messages and title each appropriately in the subject line, for example: Water Bison and Water Bison Lite Market Research 1 of 2. This will ensure that we are aware of the number of messages we should expect to receive as your complete response. Send the e-mail to ACC with the subject as Water Bison Systems Market Research. All emails can be sent to melissa.m.kopriva.civ@mail.mil.
