Description
Please note that this is NOT a request for quotes or proposals, the Government is seeking information for market research purposes only. VHA Reginal Procurement Office (RPO) 2 is currently conducting a market survey for qualified firms capable of providing Active shooter kits. The North American Industry Classification Systems (NAICS) is 332994. Responses to this notice must be submitted in writing (email or fax) and must be received no later than May 19, 2020 @ 10AM EST. Email: LATEISHA.ROBINSON@VA.GOV and Fax: 718-741-4722. No telephone inquiries will be accepted. Interested parties MUST provide company/individual name, a capability statement, examples of same or similar work performed at other facilities, DUNS number and address, point of contact and social-economic. Interested parties who do not submit the above information on or before the response due date and time will not be considered for this procurement. Please review the attached Statement of Work attached herein. The purpose of this notice is to gain knowledge of potential qualified sources and their size classification/socioeconomic status (service-disabled veteran owned small business, veteran owned small business, women owned small business, HUB Zone, 8(a), small business or large business), relative to NAICS 332994. Responses to this notice will be used by the Government to make appropriate acquisition decisions. A solicitation is not currently available. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced at a later date, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation announcement separately from the responses to this announcement. STATEMENT OF WORK Objectives/Requirements The VA Police service has purchased the long arms and storages locations with steel cabinets for the New York Harbor locations. In order to safely operate and maintain the long arms required equipment is needed. The required equipment and services, a2z Supply Corp will provide is listed below: Active Shooter Kits Consisting of: Plate Carrier w/MOLLE 2x 10""x12"" Level IV Armor Plates w/5-year warranty Level IIIA Ballistic Helmet Mission Specific Gear Bag Rifle-Clear; Tested to safely contain all pistol and rifle rounds up to .50 BMG AP 6 00502; ITW FastMag Gen IV Single Magazine Pouch AR-15 MOLLE Compatible Polymer SPRD 0396; Field Cleaning Kit, 556/223 74611; Stream light Strion DS HL IEC Type A (120V/100V) AC/12V DC 1 Holder Flashlight 74200; Stream light Strion Rail Mount AE223J; Federal American Eagle 55gr FMJ cs/500 24445SP; Speer Gold Dt Duty Rifle .223 62 Grain GDSP 500 rounds per case 1824; Secureit Tactical Ammo Cabinet Product Installation (If applicable) a2z will be responsible for determination of and compliance with federal and state or local code requirements, design data, and other factors necessary to design and install the items at the desired location. The system will not require any new construction, space, special wirings etc. Training of Operating personnel (If Applicable) a2z will be responsible for providing on-site orientation and training of using personnel in operation and care of the equipment furnished. This training shall include actual demonstration and operation of the equipment, preventative maintenance, and any adjustments or other actions which may be undertaken by operating personnel in the event of failure of equipment, provided that such adjustment or action shall in no way jeopardize the Government's rights under contract guarantee clause. Upon completion of installation, this training shall be given by qualified contractor representatives on a date to be determined by the using service POC. Operator and maintenance training shall not be conducted concurrently. All a2z employees and subcontractors under this contract or order are required to complete the VA's on-line VA Privacy and Information Security Awareness and Rules of Behavior Training �-� TMS Code 10176 Contractors must provide signed certifications of completion to the COTR during each year of the contract.� This requirement is in addition to any other training that may be required of the contractor and subcontractor(s). a2z shall submit training materials and training videos (prepared in CD or DVD format) on each piece of equipment for operation and maintenance. Any available training videos shall be for operation and maintenance and shall not be combined. These training materials and videos shall demonstrate the operation and maintenance of the equipment and any adjustments or other actions that may be undertaken by VA operating personnel in the event of failure of equipment. These training materials and videos shall be submitted to the responsible operations official or his designee prior to beginning of training.
