Description
This is a notice of a proposed contract action in accordance with FAR 5.201.� The Dept. of Commerce (DOC), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO), Satellite and Information Acquisition Division (SIAD) intends to award a sole source, cost plus fixed fee-completion (CPFF-Completion) contract to L3Harris Technologies, Inc., to provide a Command and Control (C2) element for NOAA�s Space Weather Follow-On Ground Segment (SWFO GS) SWFO-L1 observatory.� The intent is to develop, deploy, and provide operations support for the SWFO-L1 observatory�s C2 element. If awarded, the proposed SWFO-L1 observatory C2 element contract action will be awarded using Other than Full and Open Competition procedures citing the authority at 10 USC 2304(c)(1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1, �Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements.�� Responsible sources may submit a capability statement for consideration.� This notice of intent does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP) for the SWFO-L1 observatory C2 element, nor does it restrict the Government as to its ultimate acquisition approach.� The Government does not intend to award a contract on the basis of this notice nor will it reimburse firms for any costs associated with preparing or submitting a response to this notice.
