- Description
- The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Philadelphia District, intends to award a firm fixed contract that consists of placing approximately 400,000 cubic yards of sediment within the Philadelphia to Trenton main navigation channel between Keystone Range (Sta 88+548) and the Fairless Turning Basin (Sta 123+000). This�will be�an UNRESTRICTED Advertisement.� The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990.� The project is planned to be�solicited on or about�27�May�2020.��� Description of Work:� Contract work consists of maintenance dredging of approximately 400,000 cubic yards of sediment within the Philadelphia to Trenton main navigation channel between Keystone Range (Sta 88+548) and the Fairless Turning Basin (Sta 123+000). �There will be two (2) Options associated with this advertisement. There will be an Option to dredge federal channel portion of the Fairless Turning Basin, adjacent to the Delaware River and a second Option to dredge again in the river just above Fairless between Sta 123+000 and Sta 124+000.� Work includes hydraulic dredging with placement of the dredged material into the Money Island Disposal Area in Falls Township, Pennsylvania.� The base contract dredging between Stations 88+548 and 123+00 as well as the Option work in the Fairless Turning Basin, if awarded, will be required to a depth of 41� MLLW (Datum) plus 1� allowable over depth.� Dredging between Sta 123+000 and 124+000, will be required to a depth of 25� MLLW plus 1� allowable over depth. The contractor will also be required to construct various, miscellaneous dike and sluice improvements within the Money Island Disposal Area.� Sufficient borrow material for dike construction is available within the overall limits of the disposal area.� All dredging must be completed by 31 December 2020 due to environmental restrictions.� Estimated cost range of the project is $5,000,000 to $10,000,000. �The period of performance is 150 calendar days.� This is not a request for proposals at this time, the solicitation requirements and documents will include instructions for submission and the response date, will be available on or about�27�May�2020.� Neither telephonic, mailed nor faxed requests for hard copies of this solicitation will be accepted.� The solicitation will only be available online; in order to download the solicitation offerors must access the Federal Business Opportunities website (www.fbo.gov).� Additional questions may be emailed to the Contract Specialist at zaquette.everett@usace.army.mil.
