- Description
- U.S Department of Defense lacks a single platform for common-user requests of air refueling capability required to conduct integrated operations to effectively and efficiently link air refueling requirements with available tanker capacity. USTRANSCOM executes its global air refueling mission utilizing a host of mode and Service specific systems that do not interface nor give an end-to-end view of capacity utilization or efficient management of a high demand, low density resource. This makes it labor intensive and time consuming to multiple stakeholders; the user attempting to request air refueling support, USTRANSCOMs mission validation, Air Mobility Commands management of tanker capacity, and the Tanker Airlift Command & Control (TACC) Centers allocation and execution of the mission. USTRANSCOM is seeking to prototype a robust and scalable information technology solution to execute Department of Defense and Federal Government multimodal, world-wide air refueling requirements from user request through mission execution. The solution must enable integration with DoD and commercial systems, have system availability of 99.9%, and the ability to support multiple users simultaneously.
