- SOURCES SOUGHT NOTIFICATION The US Army Medical Command, Regional Health Contracting Office-Central, Ft. Carson Health Contracting Cell, Fort Carson, CO. is issuing this sources sought synopsis on behalf of Evans Army Community Hospital (EACH). This sources sought is issued as a means of conducting market research to identify parties that have an interest in the resources to support this requirement for Cochlear BAHA Implants. The following products/services are required: Must be FDA and TAA compliant. Must be a sterile, battery-powered, electromechanical device assembly intended to compensate for impaired hearing by transmitting vibrations, from transduced sound waves, through the skull to the inner ear. It typically consists of a self-contained microphone, amplifier, and vibrator mounted on a titanium (Ti) post, by implanted into the skull, typically the mastoid bone, and protrudes through the skin. Converting, sound waves into electrical signals and sent to the vibrator. Which transmits vibrations directly through bone to the inner ears for hearing. To treat hearing impairment due to middle and/or outer ear obstructive pathologies or types of conductive hearing loss. Must meet the following Requirements: Highest Level of Treatable Hearing Loss - Up to 65 dB SNHL MRI Compatibility Small sized threads for optimal load distribution and a wider profile of 4.5mm to optimize strength of the system Smartphone Compatibility - stream sound directly from a compatible Apple��device or to an Android device using the Phone Clip Wireless Connectivity Tamper resistant battery door Connection Type - Abutment, Magnet, Softband and SoundArc Must be able to upgrade to an Implantable System with the Same Processor, magnetic implant system or an abutment implant system The applicable North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code assigned to this procurement is 339113, Surgical Appliance and Supplies Manufacturing. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this market survey is purely voluntary; the government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.� �If your organization has the potential capacity to provide/perform these contract supplies/services, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, email address, Web site address, telephone number, and size and type of ownership for the organization; and 2) Tailored capability statements shall address the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational capability.
