- This is a competitive 100% Small Business Set-aside Invitation for Bid (IFB) related to the Mead Substation Stage 17 Construction Project. The acquisition is subject to the North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code of 237130 with a size standard of $39.5 million. This acquisition will be handled as an IFB prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subparts 14 and 36. A firm-fixed price contract award is contemplated. The project magnitude is estimated between $500,000.00 and $1,000,000.00. Place of performance will be in Clark County, Nevada. This project consists of furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, licenses, permits, insurance, transportation, and equipment necessary for: Remove all connections to an existing, 345/230kV, 600 MVA power transformer, provide all connections to a new, 345/230-kV, 600 MVA power transformer, provide bus systems, grounding systems, conduit systems, insulated conductors and cables, signs, fiber optic splice enclosure and fiber optic duct cable, provide foundations and anchor bolts for structures, electrical equipment and material,� perform site work, install �one (1), Government-furnished, galvanized base-plated single-circuit 230-kV transmission line steel pole structure, perform electrical testing, remove and dispose of one (1) lattice steel tower, concrete footings, aluminum conductor, insulators, aluminum tubing, hardware and fittings, ground wire and conduit, remove and reinstall insulated control and power cables and aluminum conductor jumpers, provide and install transmission line approach span conductors, overhead ground wire and optical overhead ground wire. All work shall be in strict compliance with the specifications and drawings. The solicitation, specifications and drawings, and any subsequent amendments will only be available in electronic format, downloadable from the internet free of charge. No CD-ROMS or hardcopy documents will be distributed.
