THIS NOTICE IS BEING ISSUED TO DETERMINE IF THERE IS SUFFICIENT� INTEREST FROM QUALIFIED PRIME CONTRACTORS who are Small Businesses, HUBZone small businesses, Woman owned small business concerns, 8(a) small businesses, or Service disabled veteran-owned small businesses and who intend to submit a bid for this solicitation to allow for a set-aside in one of these programs MUST submit the following by e-mail to CFLAcquisitions@dot.gov (Attn:� Ryan Phillips) for receipt by close of business (2 p.m. local Denver time) on May 18, 2020:� (1) A positive statement of your intention to submit a bid for this solicitation as a Prime Contractor; (2) A copy of the letter from SBA stating date of HUBZone small business certification or acceptance to the 8(a) small business program.� In the case of a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business Concern, you must provide proof of eligibility (DD form 214 or a letter of adjudication from the Veterans Administration).� This information must be provided in order to determine eligibility � DO NOT SEND COPIES OF YOUR SAM PROFILE; (3) Letter from bonding agent stating your firm�s capability to bond for a single project of $1 million, and your firm�s aggregate bonding capacity; and (4) Provide a list of projects of equal or greater value and scope to the CA NPS SEKI 10(12A) project in which you performed (as the prime contractor) tree removal.� State whether your firm was the prime contractor or subcontractor on the project.� DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK.DO NOT SEND INFORMATION ON PROJECTS THAT DO NOT INCLUDE THE ABOVE WORK. PROJECT NUMBER: CA NPS SEKI 10(12A) PROJECT NAME: Generals Highway Hazard Tree Removal PROJECT DESCRIPTION:� This project includes the removal of hazard trees along Generals Highway in Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Park from the �wye� intersection near Wilsonia east along the General�s Highway. The project has one Schedule and two Options, Schedule A contains tree felling from the �wye� proceeding east for 1.26 miles, Option X contains tree felling for an additional 0.65 miles proceeding east or 1.91 miles total and Option Y contains tree felling for an additional 0.83 miles proceeding east or 2.74 miles total.� The Project is within the limits of the SEKI 10(12) Roadway project currently under construction.� SIGNIFICANT QUANTITIES: Tree removals are grouped by four ranges in size (4� to 10�, 10� to 24�, 24� to 40�, and greater than 40�), trees greater than 30 feet can be left in place after felling, trees within 30 feet of the road are to be removed.� Schedule A includes tree removals for 354 trees, Option X includes 118 additional trees or 472 total and Option Y includes 107 additional trees or 579 total. CONSTRUCTION DURATION: Tentative July 2020 to November 2020 The estimated price range is between $500,000 and $1,000,000. The anticipated advertisement date is May 2020 with construction anticipated from July 2020 to November 2020.
