- Department of Veterans Affairs Veterans Health Administration (VHA) Sources Sought Notice Obtain SCIENTEK Cart Washer Services This is a Sources Sought notice and not a request for quotes. This request is solely for the purpose of conducting market research to enhance VHA s understanding of your company s offered services and capabilities. The Government will not pay any costs for responses submitted in response to this Source Sought Notice. This Sources Sought notice provides an opportunity for respondents to submit their capability and availability to provide the service requirement described below. Vendors are being invited to submit information relative to their potential to fulfill this requirement, in the form of a capability response that addresses the specific requirement identified in this Sources Sought. The Veterans Health Administration (VHA) is seeking to obtain SCIENTEK Cart Washer Services for the West Haven Connecticut VAMC. The standard of services shall be of quality; meeting or exceeding those outlined in the General Requirements section below. Refer to the General Requirements section below for the requested service description. This Sources Sought is to facilitate the Contracting Officer s review of the market base, for acquisition planning, size determination, and procurement strategy. General Requirements: SCIENTEK Cart Washer Services The following scope of work satisfies manufactures service recommendations and meets JCAHO requirements. The purpose of this contract is to establish a SCIENTEK Cart Washer service and maintenance contract. A contract shall be awarded for a base year (12 months) with four (4) potential annual option years to be exercised at the discretion of the government. Location of facility: West Haven VAMC 950 Campbell Ave West Haven, CT 06516 SCOPE OF WORK : Supplies and Services for Sterilizers The Contractor shall provide all labor, specialized services, and travel necessary to maintain the listed equipment in proper working order. Cart Washer service shall be provided during normal working hours between 7:00 AM to 4:00 PM EST, Monday through Friday. Service dates and times shall be coordinated between VA and contractor at the convenience of the government. Technicians shall be familiar and have the knowledge to service SCIENTEK products and Cart Washers SW6100PT. Contractor shall identify current or possible problems such as: worn gaskets, worn steam line gaskets, or broken drain plugs etc. All present and potential issues shall be noted on Service Reports. All inspections and cleaning shall include the following: 1. Clean items (remove dirt, rust, spilled solutions, lint and other deposits with proper cleaning equipment and supplies). Professional Service for Scientek Model NO SW6100PT. 1. Service includes 2. Quarterly: Spray Arm Bushings cleaned, heck door switches, safety switches, water fill levels and gravity drain levels. Run Test cycles, verify temperature sensor reading/accuracy check for leaks, floor screens, door alignment, drain air separator, and all valves. 3. Semi Annual: Replace spray arm bushings, check washer recirculation filter. 4. Annually: Arm Bushing sets, and all associated parts. 5. Clean up all work area and remove debris after completion. 6. Follow all VA sterile requirements and polices when entering any de-contamination and sterile areas. All PPE requirements will be followed. 7. Cleaning materials, fluids etc shall be environmentally friendly cleansers that do not require neutralization with no specialized disposal requirements. 6. The service shall fulfill the yearly cleaning recommendations by AAMI (Association Advancement of Medical Instrumentation and AORN Association of Pre-Operative Registered Nurses) guidelines and standards. 7. Contractor shall provide Un-scheduled emergency services in addition to the scheduled yearly maintenances. The contractor shall respond to emergencies within 48 hours of being notified. West Haven Campus: SCIENTEK CART WASHER SW6100PT 101265-3131 SN# 07H07980 Interference to Normal Functions: The contractor may be required to interrupt their work at any time as not to interfere with the function of the facility, including facility repair etc.. In the event of an emergency, contractor services may be stopped and rescheduled at no additional cost to the Government. Documentation: Service records shall be provided to the COR at the conclusion of all services and maintained by the Facilities Management COR
