- 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1) as implemented Under the authority of FAR 6.302-1, only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements, The Department of Veterans Affairs intends to solicit and negotiate a Sole Source, Firm-Fixed Price Purchase Order with one Small Business source, Accessibility Services, Inc. (ASI). ASI is the only source that can provide the required AutonoME Environmental Control Units (ECUs) due to proprietary rights. The North American Industry Classification (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 339112, Surgical and Medical Instrument Manufacturing with a small business size standard of $15M. The procurement is for the following items: autonoME PECU hospital system to include the following: Medical grade grid pad PC with custom software for ECU AAC & computer access Wi-Fi (2) USB ports Microphone and sip/puff gooseneck input device with bed mounting clamp Wall components and cables to interface with Nurse Call, TV, Telephone, Bed control and lights Hospital articulating swing arm to hold tablet PC 2-year Limited Warranty Technical support via phone or remote log-in for the life of the system Installation and training The requirement is for the following location: Department of Veterans Affairs Portland VA Health Care System 3710 SW US Veteran Hospital Road Portland, OR 97239 This notice satisfies the requirement at FAR 5.201(b)(1), to publicize the proposed contract action. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation will be made available. However, if any interested party believes that they can meet the above requirement, they may submit a statement of capabilities. The statement of capabilities must be submitted in writing and must contain material in sufficient detail to allow the Government to determine if the party can perform the requirement. The Government will not pay for information submitted. A determination to compete this action based on the responses received is in the sole discretion of the Government. All interested parties must express their interest and capabilities in writing via email to Amy.Kuczajda@va.gov by 12:00pm on 05/04/2020 otherwise an award will be made to Accessibility Services, Inc.
