Description

The Naval Air Warfare Center Aircraft Division Lakehurst intends to procure on a non-competitive basis the organic depot-level maintenance repair capability for the Common Data Link (CDL) System. This synopsis is for the existing CDL contract with L-3 Communications (L3Harris) for installing a Circuit Card Assembly test stand in support of the Fleet Readiness Center Southwest Depot and Logistics management information team. The Government intends to issue a sole source contract modification to L-3 Communications (L3Harris), 640 N 2200 W, Salt Lake City, UT 84116. Under the authority of 10 USC 2304(c)(1), FAR 6.302-1, this firm is considered the only responsible source to perform this effort. L-3 Communications (L3Harris) is the original equipment manufacturer of the CDL for us on the P-8A and the only source capable of meeting the Government�s requirements. However, the Government will consider all responses received within fifteen days after the date of publication of this synopsis. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received as a result of this notice of intent will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
