- This performance Based Commercial Items procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside. The NAICS is 561790, Snow Removal/Salt Services with a size standard of $8.0 million. The Contractor shall provide all management, supervision, labor, equipment, materials, tools and supplies necessary to provide snow services. Snow Services required may include but should not be interpreted as all inclusive or limited to Clearing/Preventing Snow/Ice from roadways, parking lots, Snow Plowing, and Snow Removal. An Award is anticipated for the following location: Philip J. Philbin Federal Building � � � � 881 Main Street � � � Fitchburg, MA 01420 Areas requiring snow and ice removal: Patron Parking areas -�12,320 SF Employee Parking Lot Area -�19,250 SF Access Roadway & Parking Area -�12,145 SF Sidewalks (including entrances) -�0 SF* Entrance Steps -�0�SF* 10 Year Average of Snow -�71.89 Inches * NOTE: Sidewalk clearing and Entrance steps are�the responsibility of the janitorial contractor. The services required may include but should not be interpreted as all-inclusive or limited to the following: The Contractor shall perform snow and ice removal services for the snow and ice removal program. Work�that is performed outside of normal building hours should be included in the line item price under the snow removal CLINs.� Snow and ice removal from entrances, steps, landings, sidewalks, vehicular courts, driveways, plaza areas, roadways, parking areas, handicapped accessibility areas, and approaches are included in the standard service price.� This contract includes snow and ice removal requiring heavy equipment (ride-on equipment such as front end loaders, backhoes, bobcats, snow plows, etc.).� Equipment provided by the Government that is damaged by the Contractor due to neglect shall be repaired or replaced by the Contractor.� The Contractor shall be responsible for all costs incurred. Snow Plowing. Snow plowing shall commence when local accumulation reaches two (2) inches. Snow plowing shall be accomplished by the Contractor to maintain safe passage for access into buildings, parking areas, roadways, approaches, vehicular courts, ramps, etc. In the event of icy rain or snow, sanding shall commence to maintain a safe passage on all paved roadways, parking lots, driveways, ramps and walkways. The Period of Performance is a base period of one year with four one year options. The solicitation is anticipated to be released on or about May 8,�2020. The site visit is scheduled on May 14, 2020. �The solicitation will be available to download via this website only (beta.sam.gov). The offeror is responsible for downloading their own copy of the RFP and associated documents. It is the responsibility of each potential offeror to monitor beta.sam.gov for any amendments or other information related to this solicitation.
