Description

The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) intends to contract using other than full and open competition for the dismantle, relocation and re-installation of several Boeing 767 Aircraft Cabin Training Simulators (ACTS) as well as the reconfiguration of a Platform I ACTS currently in place.� Accordingly, the TSA intends to award a purchase order to Newton Design LLC, 26015 E ADMIRAL PL CATOOSA, OKLAHOMA 74015-5743. This contract will address the requirements of dismantling and relocation of existing Aircraft Cabin Training Simulators (ACTS) at the Transportation Security Administration Training Center (TSATC) and Field Offices throughout the country. This will require the removal of these highly specialized aircraft simulators from commercial office spaces throughout the country, transportation of the components back to the TSATC in Atlantic City, NJ and then the reassembly of the same into a rugged aircraft simulator that can withstand the rigors of dynamic law enforcement training. In addition, TSA seeks to consolidate the parts from 3 different 50� aircraft simulators located in 3 different states to make 1 larger 100� aircraft simulator at the TSATC. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of FAR 6.302. Interested persons may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement or submit proposals. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. However, all proposals received five days after date of publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. The Government will notify parties of the outcome of any proposal submitted in response.� A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
