- Description
- The Regional Health Contracting Office - Central is issuing this Sources Sought Notice on behalf of San Antonio Military Medical Center (SAMMC), JBSA - Fort Sam Houston, Texas. Any responses to this Sources Sought Notice will be used for planning purposes only. Based on the responses to this notice, the requirement may be set-aside for small businesses, procured through full-and-open competition, or result in a sole-source contract. The proposed North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code is 339112 with a corresponding size standard of 1,000 employees. This notice is not a solicitation of offers, nor is it a notice to proceed. SAMMC has a requirement for 3 ADAM-rWBC residual leukocyte counters. The residual leukocyte counters are used to automatically count the number of residual white blood cells (rWBCs) in leukoreduced blood products. The anticipated delivery date is 8 June 2020. The ADAM-rWBC residual leukocyte counters must meet the below salient characteristics: - White blood cell counting for residual leukocytes may be performed manually using a Nageotte chamber - Limitations to this method include (1) Propensity for the staining of artifacts; (2) Is only appropriate for use with very low cell counts, (3) The testing is time consuming and (4) Interpretation may be subjective. - All Procedures are automated and only takes 45 seconds to read results. - Automated cell counting eliminates user bias or subjective interpretation that can be found when counting residual leukocytes using other methods. If your organization has the potential capacity to provide the ADAM-rWBC residual leukocyte counters above, please provide the following information: 1) Organization name, address, e-mail address, Web site address, telephone number, and size (small versus large business, and any other socio-economic categories) and type of ownership for the organization; 2) Tailored capability statements addressing the particulars of this effort, with appropriate documentation supporting claims of organizational capability, to include proof of authorization to provide supplies and analyzer as well as maintenance and repair services on above-listed equipment. THERE IS NO SOLICITATION AT THIS TIME. This request for capability information does not constitute a request for proposals; submission of any information in response to this notice is purely voluntary; the Government assumes no financial responsibility for any costs incurred.
