Description
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Galveston District Office requires a contract for: USACE Galveston District, Gulf Intracoastal Waterway, Matagorda Bay to Corpus Christi Bay, Pipeline Dredging in Calhoun and Aransas Counties, Texas. The work consists of maintenance dredging of the Gulf Intracoastal Waterway between station 1085+000 and station 1138+000.� Dredge volume equates to approximately 1,500,000 CY total.� Placement of material will be in open water placement areas #123 and #124, and at beneficial use sites B and D in the Aransas National Wildlife Refuge.� Completion time for the project is 133 calendar days after the Contractor receives the Notice to Proceed. All work must be completed by 14 OCT 2020 prior to the start of the closed Whooping Crane bird window.� Whooping Crane window is closed to construction 15 OCT through 15 APR. If the contractor fails to complete the work within the time specified, the contractor shall pay liquidated damages to the Government in the amount of $3992.00 for each calendar day of delay until the work is completed or accepted. �Response date is 27 April 2020 at 2:00 PM�CST�(All bids must be submitted electronically per Section 00 21 00 of the solicitation). The estimated award date for this contract is projected to be on or about the week of 25 May 2020. The contractor will be required to provide Performance and Payment Bonds within (5) calendar days after award.� Contractor will be required to furnish Pre-Award documents within 5 days after Bid Opening. The contractor shall begin Work within (10) calendar days after acknowledgement of the Notice to Proceed. This Solicitation is to be�Firm Fixed Price. The order of magnitude for this effort is between $5,000,000.00 and $10,000,000.00. This solicitation is advertised as �UNRESTRICTED� full & open competition to both large and small businesses. The North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code applicable to this project is 237990. The Small Business Size Standard is $30 Million.
