- Description
- Technical Approval is requested from the Regional Facilities Office for the enclosed Statement of Worl< and Reference Drawings. This work has been approved by the Work Programming Committee and is submitted in accordance with the guidelines set forth in 4200.12. The Statement of Work for the project is as follows: Request technical approval of the attach drawings and Statement of Work: The contractor awarded this project, for the Federal Correctional Institution (FCI) Greenville, is responsible for providing all materials, installation, labor and training for the new PLC System as determined by the COR (Contracting Officer Representative). Contractor will supply and install The Programmable Logic Control (PLC) System. The contractor is responsible to for the following: 1) Replacement of all existing PLC hardware and software with a GE RX3i PACSystem or functionally equivalent equipment which meets the requirements of FBOP Technical Design Guideline section 28 46 19.30. This includes the card racks, stand-alone CPUs, 1/0 modules, communications equipment, programming terminal and software. 2) Engineering services to port the existing programming into the new hardware. 3) Hardware and software required to implement the Information Management Computer specified in FBOP Technical Design Guideline section 28 46 19.30, section 1.5 H. 4) System testing to verify all functions are properly implemented prior to final installation. 5) Training of technicians in maintenance and programing of new system. In accordance with Program Statement 123.14 Personal Computers and Network Standards, to approve non-standard IT Equipment for use at a BOP site. The stand-alone system must meet the following conditions: 1) Must purchase and renew annually any software license maintenance for all software required to implement and operate this system. 2) Any new hardware or software that will be added to this system will require approval from the Office of Information Technology prior to acquiring. 3) Devices that use the Global Positioning System (GPS), or any external Internet connection, are not authorized to be installed on this system. 4) This system must use secure protocols and all unsecured protocols must be disabled.
