Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Walla Walla District is issuing a solicitation for the purchase of a Load Monitoring Instrument (LMI) Systems, commercial supplies, prepared in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 12.6. The NAICS code applicable to this acquisition is 334519, with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees as determined by 13 CFR 121.104. Competition for this requirement is Set-Aside for small business. Offers received from other than small business offerors will not be considered. When available, the solicitation documents for this project W912EF-20-Q-0060 will be provided via Beta.SAM https://www.beta.sam.gov on or around 27 April 2020. Please do not submit a quote without the solicitation package that will be provided to industry by the Government as specified above. The solicitation will be a Request for Quote (RFQ). The official quotation due date will be contained in the solicitation and any solicitation amendments that may be issued. SCOPE OF WORK The successful bidder shall be required to supply two (2) Load Monitoring Instrument (LMI) systems for the Spillway Gantry Cranes. LMI systems shall be packaged and delivered to McNary Lock and Dam as described in Paragraph 7.0.� At the time of bid submittal, the Contractor shall provide product submittals and drawings as described in Paragraph 4.0.� �Load monitoring instrument systems: �Each LMI system shall consist of the following: Wire rope mounted load sensors to be mounted below the upper sheave nests on the main hoist of the McNary spillway gantry crane. The main hoist has two hoists that work in tandem to lift the load. Two sensors are required, one for each hoist.�� Wireless signal between sensors and display Operating Frequency Range:� 900-928 MHz Battery power supply Wire rope size:� 1 �� Operating temperature:� -40�F to +140�F (-40�C to +60�C) Maximum overall length: 20� Swing arms and mounting hardware included Installation without unreeving the wire rope 15 ton capacity Color-touch screen display panel to receive the signal from both sensors Audible and visual alarms at panel Magnetic mount antenna Mounting bracket and power cable VAC-VDC power supply DRAWINGS: The Contractor shall be required to provide drawings of the LMI systems.� The drawings shall include construction material, dimensions, specifications, installation procedures, vendor�s name and phone number and a drawing number.� If available, the drawings shall be provided in electronic format as a Microstation .dgn or AutoCAD .dwg, otherwise .PDF or .TIF files are acceptable.
