- Description
- The General Services Administration is issuing a Sources Sought for the following office renovation project at the Patrick V. McNamara Federal Building located at 477 Michigan Ave, Detroit, MI 48226 to determine the interest, availability, and capability of Small, Disadvantaged, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, and Woman Owned Small Business concerns found as a result of a Dynamic Small BusinessSearch. The NAICS code for this procurement is 236220. The estimated construction cost is between $1,000,000 and $5,000,000. The intent of the project is to renovate a portion of the 3rd floor at the Patrick V. McNamara building for the Department of State Passport Offices. The project will renovate usable space into various uses for the Passport Services including but not limited to waiting and transaction spaces, private offices, open office spaces, conference rooms and a break room. Throughout the office spaces, a new plenum sound masking system is to be installed throughout to help with acoustic concerns from the 4th floor gym above. There are also additional components to the 4th floor gym equipment included as part of this project to help with the acoustics on the 3rd floor below. The project will also renovate the existing men�s and women�s restrooms on the 3rd floor and convert them into employee and public restrooms for the entire floor. The renovation will include modifications to the existing HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and fire protection and alarm systems. The renovation will include new wall construction, new furniture partitions and assemblies, and new finishes throughout. The awardee will be required to undergo the security clearance process. The full extent of the work will be described in the solicitation when it is posted. No other information will be available before the solicitation is posted. This is a�SOURCES�SOUGHT�ANNOUNCEMENT for planning purposes only. Market research is being conducted to determine if there are Small, Service Disabled Veteran Owned, 8(a), HUBZone, or Woman Owned Small Businesses with the capabilities and experience to perform the required work.� All interested parties should submit a capabilities package to include: Business classification (i.e. SDVOSB, HUBZone, etc..) Examples of three similar projects completed within the last five years that included the scope of work specified above that will be required under this project and that had a total project cost in the same range estimated for this project. Please provide a customer point of contact for each project listed. Contractor experience in projects similar in size and scope in commercial or government office buildings.
