(Next generation Sequencer). This enables automated template preparation workflows into a single system. It provides scalable template preparation for all Ion semiconductor sequencing chips, can accommodate parallel processing of multiple samples per day through modular design, and supports multiplex samples. This system supports up to 400 bases on the Ion GeneStudio S5 instrument. The current system is a way to manually perform library preparations, template preparations and chip loading for the Ion GeneStudio S5. 3.0 OBJECTIVE We would like to purchase the The Ion Chef System offers simple, automated library prep, template prep, and chip loading for Ion Torrent sequencers, GeneStudioS5. 4.0 SALIENT / REQUIRED FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS Minimized sources of user-introduced variability Helps to save time and labor Supports sequencing preparation for the Ion S5, Ion PGM, Ion Proton systems Simplified Workflow Features Automated Ion Ampliseq library preparation, template preparation, and chip loading Has Cartridge-based reagent system Possesses Sample and reagent-tracking capability Intuitive user interface On-board diagnostics 5.0 TASKS AREAS Independently, and not as an agent of the Government, the contractor shall perform all of the detailed Task Areas listed below: (The Task areas include all testing requirements, purity protocols, sample shipping, inside delivery, removal of shipping debris, installation, training, special consideration for International Shipments that may require additional broker fees & customs documents, need-by delivery dates, warranty information, number of staff required to complete your project, technical support, software updates, etc. 5.1 Task Area 1 Delivery of Ion Chef System 5.2 Task Area 2 Training 6.0 PURCHASE ORDER TYPE This Purchase Order is to be a firm fixed price. 7.0 INSPECTION AND ACCEPTANCE Inspection and acceptance will be performed at the place of installation - National Institutes of Health, NIDDK, PECRB, GENOMICS BUILDING, 445 N. 5TH STREET, PHOENIX, AZ 85004. 8.0 BRAND NAME JUSTIFICATION Thermo Fisher Scientific ION CHEF SYSTEM The NIDDK is currently using the Ion OneTouch 2 System for sample preparation on the Ion GeneStudio S5 Series.
