Brief Description of Supplies/ Services required and the intended use/Estimated Amount: Sole Source purchase of equipment from SDVOSB under open market For $51,400.00 Unique characteristics that limit availability to only one source, with the reason no other supplies or services can be used: COVID-19 Pandemic. The Philips Respironics V60 ventilator is a dedicated noninvasive ventilator. With advanced breath delivery technology and algorithms designed to maximize performance in a leak prone environment, V60 adapts our patients ventilation needs. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, ventilators are in short supply throughout the US. The Philips V60 BIPAP/CPAP with ventilation functionality is considered a BiPAP and CPAP machine, it can be used to ventilate a patient invasively. Description of market research conducted and results or statement why it was not conducted: Urgent And Compelling Market research was not conducted due to the urgent and compelling need of V60 Ventilators in order to save lives during COVID-19 pandemic. These ventilators are in short supply throughout the US. The Philips V60 BIPAP/CPAP with ventilation functionality is considered a BiPAP and CPAP machine, which can be used to ventilate a patient invasively. By purchasing this item now, we will be able to get more ventilators into our facility more quickly to meet the rapidly changing needs of our patients due to the pandemic.
