This is a Sources Sought Notice and is for market research purposes only. �THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL, QUOTATION OR BID.� NO SOLICITATION IS CURRENTLY AVAILABLE. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Omaha District is conducting market research to identify sources (Small Businesses and Other-than-Small Businesses) that have the knowledge, skills and capability to perform the work concerning the potential projects described below. �The Government requests responses from qualifying contractors to supply and deliver quarried stone onto government barges. The Government will use the responses to this sources sought announcement to make appropriate acquisition decisions for this project. Responses are to be sent via email to dean.p.matuszewski@usace.army.mil �and courtesy copy David.W.Neal@usace.army.mil no later than 2:00 p.m. CST, 27 April 2020.� Please include the Sources Sought Notice Identification Number in the Subject line of the email submission. PROJECT DESCRIPTION: � The Government anticipates awarding two Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) Single Award Task Order Contracts (SATOCs) to supply and deliver quarried stone onto government barges. �Each SATOC will have an ordering period of five years and will not exceed $5M in capacity. It is anticipated that the quantity of stone required for delivery will be up to 40,000 tons each year. The work supports the operation and maintenance of approved structures of the Bank Stabilization Navigation Project on the Missouri River. One of the contracts will provide support for the South Reach between river mile 498 near Rulo, NE and river mile 590. The other contract will provide support for the North Reach between river mile 590 and river mile 753 near Ponca, NE. � STONE REQUIREMENTS: The stone shall consist of quarried stone meeting the attached�quality requirements. Neither the breadth nor the thickness of any piece of stone shall be less than one-third of its length. The pieces shall be angular in shape, free from rounded and sub rounded material. Angular stone is defined as having a minimum of three major flat surfaces with sharp angles between the surfaces. Stone shall be reasonably well graded from coarse to fine. Quarry operation shall be controlled to produce a reasonable well graded stone of the required size. Dirt and fines of less than � - inch maximum cross section, accumulated from interledge layers or from blasting or handling operations or breaking shall not exceed five percent by weight.� � ��� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �� � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � The �Type X� stone shall be reasonably well graded, free from overburden, spoil, shale, and unsuitable material. The quantity of dirt and fines less than �-inch maximum cross section, accumulated from interledge layers, blasting, handling operations, and/or all other sources, shall not exceed five percent by weight. The maximum weight of a piece of stone shall be limited to 3,000 pounds � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � � �SUBMISSION DETAILS: All interested, capable, qualified (under NAICS code 212319) and responsive contractors are encouraged to reply to this market survey request. �Interested PRIME CONTRACTORS ONLY should submit a narrative demonstrating their experience in construction projects of similar nature as described above. �Narratives shall be no longer than 10 pages. Email responses are required. Please include the following information in your response/narrative: Company name, address, and point of contact, with (h)er/is phone number and email address CAGE Code and DUNS number Business size to include any official teaming arrangements as a partnership or joint venture Details of similar projects and state whether you were the Prime or Subcontractor Start and end dates of work Project references (including owner with phone number and email address) Project cost, term and complexity of job Interest in both projects (North & South) or just one and specify location (North or South) Responses will be shared with the Government and the project management team, but otherwise will be held in strict confidence.
