Description
THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This notice does NOT constitute a request for proposal, request for quote, or invitation for bid. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. We are seeking information for market research purposes only. The Government will not pay for any information solicited. The VHA Network Contracting Office 6 (NCO 6) is conducting a market survey to find qualified vendors to Remodel Positronic Emission Tomography (PET) Holding Space for the Hunter Holmes McGuire Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center (VAMC), 1201 Broad Rock Blvd, Richmond VA 23249. The Magnitude of Construction for this project is between $100,000 and $250,000. The proposed NAICS 238990 is applicable to this acquisition; with a size standard of $16.5 Million. General Scope: The Contractor will provide all transportation, material hardware and parts, tools, specialized equipment, labor, supervision and technical expertise to remodel PET Holding Space, Richmond, VA. Work shall include Demolition of interior ceiling, floor covering, and walls including alcove built into existing room 1H-126. (Reinstalling solid ceiling incorporating existing sprinkler, A/C, and lighting, and solid flooring as indicated in provided parts list below) Installing lead shielding in walls as specified on drawings to a minimum height of 7� on all four walls and leaded door to a thickness as indicated in provided drawings including the door frame with either baffles or lead backing and Automatic opener installed on 1H-126 new recovery room set up as well as, equal to or greater than functionality of powered automatic opener on existing Lead Lined Door of recovery room 1H-120. Asbestos Abatement/Demo of floor covering, ceiling/lighting and replacing them with solid ceiling, dimmable LED lighting and solid rubber flooring in 1H-120 as indicated in provided drawings. Inspect and repair floor as necessary to support weight of added lead In Accordance With (IAW) provided instructions. Ensuring the protective effectiveness of the enclosing barrier by capping, plugging, or wrapping all punctures to lead upon installation. Installing 5/8� drywall to all bared wall and ceiling surfaces with professional smooth finishing, and painting both rooms IAW paint specifications in drawings. �All interested parties should respond, in writing via email to Denise Morman at Denise.Morman@va.gov. The VA is mandated by Public Law 109-461 to consider a total set-aside for Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses. However, if responses from qualified firms prove inadequate, an alternate set-aside or full and open competition may be considered. Your response is required by 4:00 PM EST on Monday May 4, 2020.
