Description
The US Army Corps of Engineers, Huntington District intends to procure a contract for construction of Dam Safety Modification Additional Relief Wells and Collector System Upgrades, Mohawk Dam, Warsaw, Ohio. The award of one (1) Firm Fixed price Construction Contract is anticipated.� The general description of the work for this contract consists of furnishing all materials, equipment, labor, layouts of work features, and supervision needed to accomplish work related to construction measures and modifications to the downstream seepage interception and control system to address system underperformance and potential internal erosion of the dam's foundation soils by backward erosion piping. This contract work includes a base plus one (1) option. The majority of work is included in the Base Contract, while Option 1 only consists of Emergency Backfill to address potential, impending adverse weather (high pool) and related site conditions. ������������������������������������������������ The Base Contract work generally includes, but is not limited to, the following features: - Installation of 10 new relief wells with individualized housing, conveyance piping, and outfall structures. - Installation of new seepage collection system components including manholes, piping, connections, and outfall structures. - Modification to, and demolition of, select portions of the existing seepage collection system including manholes, piping, and connections. - Earthwork and stone slope protection construction related to the aforementioned demolition, modification, and installation work. Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions an organized site visit will be not scheduled; however, interested bidders are highly encouraged to perform a site visit. The contract will be awarded to the lowest priced offeror who is found to be responsive and responsible.� The contract will be awarded to the lowest price bidder found to be responsive and responsible.� This procurement is 100% Small Business set-aside.� The NAICS code for this procurement is 237990, which has a size standard of $36.5 million average annual receipts.� Solicitation documents will be available on or about May 4, 2020 and can be downloaded at www.beta.sam.gov . ALL SUBMISSIONS TO THIS BID ANNOUNCEMENT SHALL BE SUBMITTED ELECTRONICALLY THROUGH DOD SAFE. No paper copies, CD-ROMs or facsimile submissions will be accepted. Electronic Bid Submission is required through the Army�s Electronic File Sharing Service, DOD SAFE (https://safe.apps.mil). There are no user accounts for SAFE. Authentication is handled via email. Anyone has access to DOD SAFE, and the application is available for use by anyone. The SAFE �Getting Started Guide� has information on how to utilize the system (https://safe.apps.mil/about.php).
