Description
The Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office 15 intends to award a sole source contract under the authority of 41 U.S.C 253(c) (1) FAR 6.302-1 Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements and Unusual and Compelling Urgency to CareFusion Solutions, LLC at 3750 Torrey View Ct, San Diego, CA 92130. The VA St. Louis Health Care System (John Cochran and Jefferson Barracks Divisions) is in need of adding 410 Infusion Pump Equipment (85 Model 8015 PC Units,300 Model 8100 Pump Modules, and 25 8110 Syringe modules. Due to the COVID Pandemic, new in-patient wards are being created to accommodate the influx of positive patients and more infusion pump equipment is needed to assist with the addition of the new wards. Minimum Technical Specifications: The 410-infusion pump Equipment must meet the following minimum specifications: Must be compatible with current infusion pump modules which include: BD Alaris 8100 Pump Module BD Alaris EtCO2 8300 Pump Module BD Alaris PCA 8120 Pump Module BD Alaris Syringe 8110 Pump Module Must connect wirelessly Must be FIPS 140-2 Compliant User interface shall allow for wireless download and upload of infusion drug and IV therapy data Must accept a drug library as set up by Pharmacy Services for programing infusions Must use Guardrail Suite software for the drug library Must be most recent and up to date units available at time of delivery Unit must have alarming capability to alert staff of errors or notifications Unit must be able to be cleaned Package must include any implementation costs to bring the PC units to a fully functioning state The place of performance is for the St. Louis VAMC. The NAICS code is 339112 with a size standard of 1000 employees. This action will result in a Firm-Fixed Price contract for a one time buy. This notice of intent is not a request for quotations. This notice of intent to award a sole source contract is not a request for competitive quotes. There will be no solicitation available for competitive quotes. Phone calls will not be accepted.
