Description

This notice is being published in accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Part 5.101(a)(2) requiring the dissemination of information on proposed contract actions. This is a notice of intent to award a sole-source contract, and is not a request for competitive proposals. The statutory authority for this sole-source procurement is FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Army Contracting Command Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG), Tenant Contracting Division, 6565 Surveillance Loop, BLDG 6001, Aberdeen Proving Ground MD 21005, intends to award a sole source, firm fixed price contract to PCB Piezotronics, Inc, 3425 Walden Avenue, Depew, NY 14043, to provide forty five (45) Brand Name Only High frequency ICP pressure Sensor (Model # 102M114) and seventy (70) Brand Name Only Low noise coaxial cable ( Model # 003B03) in accordance with attached specifications for Aberdeen Test Center (ATC). The Pressure Sensors are required for live firing testing applications at the trench warfare firing range. PCB Piezotronics is the only manufacturer that provides a product that meets the testing capabilities required by ATC. No other product can meet the Government�s need without unacceptable delays in fulfilling the requirement and/or substantial developmental costs. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability to respond to the requirement. A determination not to compete this requirement, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
