- SOURCES SOUGHT ANNOUNCEMENT: The WJB Dorn VA Medical Center, 6439 Garners Ferry Road, Columbia, SC 29209, is conducting a market survey to identify SDVOSB/VOSB sources to provide medical waste removal services for the major hospital and seven Community Based Outpatient Clinics located in Anderson, Florence, Greenville, Orangeburg, Spartanburg, and Sumter. This announcement is issued for informational planning purposes only and is not a request for quote or announcement of a solicitation. Submitting information for this announcement is voluntary and VA assumes no responsibility for any costs incurred associated with the preparation of responses submitted as a result of this notice. If a solicitation is issued, it will be announced later, and all interested parties must respond to that solicitation separately from the responses to this announcement. The vendor will be responsible for providing all labor, vehicles, equipment, travel, and material required for transporting and disposing of medical waste. Estimated quantity for waste pick-up is 12,000 pounds/month. The potential contract will be a five-year (base year + four option years) award. Base Year: 01 May 2020 30 April 2021 Option Year 1: 01 May 2021 30 April 2022 Option Year 2: 01 May 2022 30 April 2023 Option Year 3: 01 May 2023 30 April 2024 Option Year 4: 01 May 2024 30 April 2025 The North American Industry Classification System Code (NAICS) is 362112 Hazardous Waste Collection, and the small business size standard is $41.5M for this type of effort. Vendors must be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM https://www.sam.gov). If not the original equipment manufacturer, vendor must be an authorized distributor/reseller of any proposed solutions. Service-Disabled Veteran Owned Small Businesses and Veteran Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB s and VOSB s) must be registered in VETBIZ and maintain a current certification. Capability Statement and Documentation: Companies are invited to provide their capabilities, experience, and knowledge in providing hazardous/medical waste removal services. Sources must provide the following information: 1. Company name, address, website, DUNS number, business type, socio-economic status (e.g., SDVOSB, VOSB, Woman-Owned, Disadvantaged Small Business, 8(a), general small business, large, business, etc.), and person of contact (including telephone number and email address). 2. Indicate your company s size under NAICS 362112. 3. Please indicate any government contracts held in the last 3 years including government agency, contract number, dollar value, period of performance, and government contact information.
