Description

The Space Development Agency (SDA) is responsible for orchestrating the DoD's future threat-driven space architecture and accelerating the development and fielding of new military space capabilities necessary to ensure our technological and military advantage in space for national defense. To achieve this mission, SDA will unify and integrate next-generation space capabilities to deliver the National Defense Space Architecture (NDSA), a resilient military sensing and data transport capability via a proliferated space architecture primarily in Low Earth Orbit (LEO). The Transport Layer, will provide assured, resilient, low-latency military data and connectivity worldwide to the full range of warfighter platforms. The Government intends to procure the�SDA Transport Layer Optical Crosslink Risk Reduction Demonstration�in accordance with�FAR Part 15.� All pertinent information will be posted on Beta.SAM. Estimated Acquisition Timeline: Draft RFP Posted ��March 26,�2020 (Notice ID SDA-SN-20-0008) Industry Day�(Virtual) � April 2, 2020 Final RFP Posted � Est May 1, 2020 Proposals Due ��Est�May 30,�2020 Award ��Est August 15,�2020 The above acquisition strategy is for informational purposes only and subject to change.
