Description

ITEM DESCRIPTION Metallic and non-metallic scrap metal located at or near Anchorage, Alaska. This IFB contains two distinct types of property: Demilitarization as a Condition of Sale (DCOS), Mutilation as a Condition of Sale (MCOS) and Demilitarization Code A scrap. Each property type has specific requirements specified in the Terms and Conditions of this IFB. Demilitarization required property (Item 1 DS000H24B) require Purchaser�s Certifier and Government�s Verifier to witness and certify the demilitarization of property. The demilitarized residue will be sourced to the resulting contract for Item 1. Mutilation required property (Item 2 DS000MUTB) require Purchaser�s Certifier and Government�s Verifier to witness and certify the mutilation of property. The mutilated residue will be sourced to the resulting contract for Item 2. Demilitarization Code A property (all other Items) that will be sourced to the resulting contract(s) is considered safe to sell and has no additional restrictions by this Agency and will be categorized into the SCLs listed in Table 2, Items 3. Over the duration of the base period, the Government guarantees to issue the Purchaser a minimum total weight equal to the �Total QTY� identified per SCL specified in Table 2 subject to variations as authorized by SBR Part 4, Article 5. Mutilation as Condition(s) of Sale (MCOS) applies to DS000MUTB that includes but is not limited to 40 each M872 trailers that require mutilation in accordance with the Safety of Use Message instructions. Other Metallic Scrap includes but is not limited to cabinets, generators, vehicular components and shop equipment. Inspection: Inspection is by appointment only and requires 48-hour notice.
