Description
The Naval Air Systems Command (NAVAIR), Patuxent River, MD anticipates awarding a sole source, Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract under solicitation N00019-20-R-0030 to Orbital Sciences Corporation, Launch Vehicle Division (OSC), 1575 South Price Road, Chandler, AZ 85286. The supplies and services anticipated to be procured include the following: inspection, investigation,� identification of repair actions on the GQM-163A targets, related support and test equipment, spares and tooling, maintenance, calibration, standard and non-standard repairs, and testing necessary to return the GQM-163A to a Ready for Issue (RFI) operating condition. In addition, the IDIQ anticipates the procurement of �field support to analyze system performance, participation in demonstrations and SSST working groups, logistics and engineering services to support all ongoing production, training, field, and depot repair maintenance and logistics requirements associated with U.S. Navy assets currently in inventory. It is anticipated the resulting IDIQ contract will be a combination of Firm Fixed Price and Cost Plus Fixed Fee for the repairs and maintenance described above. The anticipated period of performance is a one-year base with four option years. Contract Award is anticipated for the second quarter of fiscal year 2021. The GQM-163A surface launched aerial target system emulates the anti-ship cruise missile in support of weapon system test and evaluation. The anticipated contract will fulfill the needs of the U.S. Navy. GENERAL INFORMATION: OSC is the sole designer, developer, and manufacturer of the GQM-163A Coyote aerial target. As the sole integrator of their systems, OSC is the only contractor with requisite knowledge, experience, proprietary data rights to meet the Government�s requirements for the GQM-163A SSST systems.
