- The MCIEast Cherry Point Satellite Contracting Office, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS), Cherry Point, NC 28533 hereby gives notice of their intent to award a purchase order to American Hoffman Corporation (Cage Code: 30471) on a sole source basis in accordance with the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 13.106-1(b)(i), only one source reasonably available and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This procurement is to install a new instrumentation package for the American Hofmann two-plane hard bearing machine at Fleet Readiness Center East (NAICS 333997 per the Purchase Description).� Market research has revealed that American Hofmann Corporation is the original equipment manufacturer and it is the only authorized source for providing the required item due to established proprietary and data rights.� Therefore, the government intends to procure this product on a sole source basis from American Hofmann Corporation. THIS NOTICE OF INTENT IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES. However, all responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which, if received within one (1) calendar day after the date of the publication of this notice will be considered.�� Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.� A determination by the Government not to compete this requirement based upon responses received as a result of this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government.
