���������������������������������������������������� NOTICE OF INTENT TO SOLE SOURCE �����������������������SHORT CIRCUIT COORDINATION AND ARC FLASH HAZARD UPDATE STUDY The intent of this notice is to solicit and award a sole source Firm Fixed-Price contract pursuant to authority granted under 41 U.S.C. 3304(a)(1), and Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services will Satisfy Agency Requirements.� This procurement shall be made under North American Industrial Classification System (NAICS) Code 238210 - Electrical Contractors and Other Wiring Contractors.� The size standard is $15.0M. This is not a Request for Quote (RFQ) or Request for Proposal (RFP).� This is a notice of intent to award a sole source award to Eaton Corporation, 7451 Coca Cola Dr, Hanover MD 21076, in�accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. PROJECT SUMMARY / BACKGROUND:� The GSA HOTD currently supplies steam to over 84 federal buildings in the District of Columbia and chilled water service to buildings in three agencies, the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Agriculture (DOA), and Smithsonian Institute (SI). These services are a critical part of the customers� daily operation. In order to guarantee that these customers receive steam and chilled water services without interruption, HOTD must continually maintain the plant�s critical equipment and structure. GSA HOTD requires the services of a Contractor to perform Short Circuit Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Update Study.� A Short Circuit Coodination Study is critical for the safe, effecient and economical operation of HOTD's electrical distribution system.� An Arc Flash Hazard Study is required for the electrical equipment as recommended by the NFPA 70E-2018, Article 110.1(H) and will focus on incoming voltage (13.8KV) to Medium Voltage (4160V) and Motor Control Center (MCC 480V) throughout the plant. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SCOPE OF WORK: The intent to Sole Source Notice is being issued by GSA HOTD &�Planning Division for Short Circuit Coordination and Arc Flash Hazard Update Study.� The�place of�performance will be Heating Operations & Transmission Division (HOTD), located at 325 13th & C Street, SW, Washington DC 20407. The requirement is to provide�all equipment, tools, materials and labor necessary to perform Short Circuit and Arc Flash Hazard Update Study to determine the fault current available at various locations throughout the electrical system at HOTD and to update ARC flash labels to keep plant and personnel safety. ADDITONAL INFORMATION: All firms and prime contractors doing business with the Federal Government shall be registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database at www.sam.gov prior to proposal submission.
